Sony’s Unannounced WH-1000XM4 Wireless Headphones Leaked Through Walmart Listing.


The successor to the WH-1000XM3, the unannounced noise-cancelling wireless headphones have leaked due to a listing on Walmart. This listing tells us every spec on the upcoming headphones.

The overall build is same to as the WH-1000M3’s. The headphones have noise-cancellation technology, USB-C fast charging, support for Sony’s LDAC transmission technology, and touchpad controls.

So What’s New?

At last, Sony has added the feature where the Headphones can connect two devices simultaneously, this was the most asked feature. According to Sony, it intends to improve the calling experience for the user, by the inclusion of a new technology called the Precise Voice Pickup Technology. This technology uses five microphones and with the help of improved signal processing picks up the users voice better.

This will also feature the DSEE Extreme technology, which is Sony’s new Digital Sound Enhancement Engine. The enhancement engine can in realtime recover the high range sound lost in sound compression with the help of AI.

The listing does not show a high capacity battery but it has the same 30 hrs of battery life as the predecessor. Since there is no official announcement on the release of the new WH-1000XM4 but it won’t be too long before Sony officially announces it.
